I'm glad I got the 2012 Mas Borrás, the Pinot Noir that almost disappeared from the Torres portfolio, as it's one of the reds that shows less oak and feels fresher and more varietal from their portfolio, besides being one of the first Pinot Noirs from Spain (and still one of the very few). It has a nose of wild red berries with a lactic and candied note, quite aromatic and recognizable. The palate is soft, medium-bodied, with good intensity and clean flavors and a spicy twist. A great example of a Mediterranean Pinot Noir. Do not expect a Burgundy, approach with an open mind and you'll be happier.
